E-Rate Eligibility

Overview

Juniper Networks solutions for K-12 Education addresses the need for schools and school districts to build the very best networks for digital learning. Our E-Rate eligible services provide for the mission critical network infrastructure for broadband connectivity to and from the internet and within the school and library. The Juniper Networks E-Rate Eligible Service List includes Juniper EX Series Ethernet Switches, QFX Series Switches, ACX Series Routers, MX Series 5G Universal Routing Platforms, SRX Series Services Gateways and Mist AI-Driven Wireless LAN platforms and fall under E-Rate Category One and Two services per Table 1. Additionally, Juniper Care provides a set of technical support and repair/ replacement services designed to keep school and library networks running reliability and are eligible under E-Rate Category One and Two services per Table 1

Redundant and Spare Equipment, Cables, Connectors, Mounting Hardware, Training

Internal Connection components that are redundant, in standby mode, not actively online, spare or otherwise non-essential for information transmission within the school or library are deemed ineligible for E-Rate funding. Therefore, networking platforms preconfigured and ordered as redundant models must undergo cost allocation for E-Rate eligibility purposes.

Eligible items can include cables, antennas, connectors, and rack hardware SKUs integral to the installation of internal connections. On-site training is eligible as part of installation services, but only if it involves basic instruction on the use of eligible equipment, directly associated with equipment installation, and is outlined in the contract or agreement for the equipment. Training must take place concurrently or within a reasonable timeframe after installation.
