Juniper Networks QFX5200 Ethernet Switches
Versatile, High-Density 100GbE Data Center Switches
The QFX5200 Ethernet Switch delivers a line-rate, low-latency, and high-density platform for building large spine-and-leaf IP-fabric data center networks. This switch offer flexible 10GbE, 25GbE, 40GbE, 50GbE, and 100GbE interfaces for server and intrafabric connectivity, offering deployment versatility that future-proofs your network investment.
The QFX5200, a compact, 1 U platform offering 32 QSFP+ or QSFP28 ports, features a high-throughput 3.2-Tbps Packet Forwarding Engine. A 1.8-GHz quad-core Intel CPU with 16GB of memory further boosts performance on the control plane.
Like other QFX Series switches, the QFX5200 supports advanced Layer 2, Layer 3, and MPLS features. You can use the QFX5200 to build large, high-density IP fabrics that support upgrades to 25GbE, network virtualization, and intelligent traffic-forwarding based on proven, Internet-scale technology.
The QFX5200 also supports a disaggregated version of Junos OS that allows control and data plane processes and functions to run in parallel, maximizing utilization of the high-performance quad-core CPU.
- High-Density IP Fabrics
Support for 32 QSFP+ or QSFP28 ports in a 1 U platform provides robust foundations for building high-density IP fabrics in the data center. - Flexible Connectivity Options
Flexible 10GbE, 25GbE, 40GbE, 50GbE, and 100GbE connectivity options give you deployment versatility and investment protection. - Open, Standards-based Junos Architecture
Open access to the standard Junos Linux kernel, enabled by the disaggregated version of Junos OS software, allowsg users to install third-party Linux RPM packages and create guest containers and VMs with central resource management and programmable APIs. - Rich Automation Capabilities
Rich automation capabilities include zero-touch provisioning (ZTP) and support for Python, Chef, Puppet, and others. - High Availability
Topology-independent in-service software(TISSU) and fast reboot ensure high availability for the network during a switch update. - Network Analytics
Juniper’s Cloud Analytics Engine enables proactive application and flow path analysis, real-time monitoring, and network analytics streaming. - Rich Overlay Networking Support
A Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN) gateway managed by VMware NSX and OpenContrail controllers via OVSDB, EVPN-VXLAN, MPLS, and GRE, provides rich overlay networking support. - Advanced Junos OS Features
Junos OS enables the switch to support advanced networking features such as BGP add-path, MPLS, L3 VPN, 6PE, and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE).
